Easter Egg Hunt!

Last weekend we went to an Easter egg hunt at our friends, the Harris', house. Once he got the hang of it, Miles had a great time collecting eggs and putting them in his basket. He still doesn't know that there was candy inside the eggs! Hmmmm... wonder what happened to all the candy?

NOLA

In early March, we took a trip to New Orleans - what a fabulous city! I had to attend a conference for several days, so Chris and Miles spent the first few days exploring the French Quarter. Then we all spent the weekend together, walking around in the Quarter, going to the aquarium, taking the ferry across the Mississippi, riding in the old electric streetcars and, of course, eating! Charbroiled oysters and beignets were among our favorites.

So, NO has this amazing aquarium that is filled with marine life, but Miles was most interested in this huge fiberglass frog. Seriously, we had to drag him away after he gave the frog hugs and kisses!

He was also very interested in this alligator's head

Everyone Loves a Parade

Just a few quick photos of the St Patrick's Day Parade we went to in Raleigh a couple of weeks ago. It was delayed by a week due to rain and luckily for us, it turned out to be a beautiful day!

Here are some guys on segways. Miles was far more interested in the chili pepper scarf that the guy in front of us was wearing on his head.

This real-estate truck was shooting fire out of the top. We're not sure what this had to do with St Patrick's Day, but it was entertaining to watch!

Snow Day!

We got about four inches of snow at our house today, which made today Miles' first Snow Day. Yea!! Chris and I stayed home from work, cooked a big pot of chili and had fun taking Miles out in the snow. He could not get enough of crunching his feet in the snow and really did not want to come inside (even though his cheeks were quite rosy!).

Here's Miles all bundled up and ready to go out!

No Snow Day is complete without a mid-afternoon treat! Our little man enjoyed his pudding, contrary to the look on his face.

Haircut 101

The boys -- Miles & Chris -- both got haircuts today. Miles was starting to get a bit shaggy and I don't trust myself to cut his hair (I butchered it the first time), so he and Chris got haircuts together! Miles' haircut turned out great, but I was surprised (and a bit sad) at how grown up he looks now.

Here's Miles during the cut. He stood up the whole time!

Park Life

Miles loves going to the park and luckily we have one right up the street. Here are some photos of our visit to the park right after Thanksgiving.

At the end of the sliding board. I couldn't seem to capture one of him actually going down the sliding board, despite the fact that he went down about 50 times!

Sunday in the Park

On Sunday, we went to the park to celebrate Baby Joe Krynock's baptism. It was a perfect day and we had a great time visiting with family while Miles had fun playing in the grass with his cousins. A few photos from the park...
